Sajdeep Soomal is a writer, researcher, and curator working out of the South Asian Visual Arts Centre (SAVAC) in Toronto, ON. Saj is currently writing about psychiatric architecture, suicide bridges, and drone-proof cities. Past projects include: Migrancy in the Garage (Winner of the 2018 Avery Review Essay Prize); The River Has Diabetes; and Racing Bodies.
On the side, Saj works as an independent graphic designer, specializing in brand identity, logo design and print design. Sajdeep has previously worked at the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. They hold an MA in History from the University of Toronto.
